EFS 4x4 work light as reverse light

 after years of use my LED revers lights are almost gone south. Replaced with pair of EFS 4x4 Accessories's work lights.

Distributor pickup coil - OBD error 54

Had an starting issue, cranking, have fuel but not start, specially just after turn off. Key trick and got code 54 - means the camshaft sensor's signal is missing.

Replaced sensor with one from old distributor. 

wire insulator is cracked, need a tape there

changing pickup coil of 91 HO distributor needs full disassembly of distributor, will change it with later model one. They have an identical connector and pinout.

Maintenance - serpentine belt and heater hose

 Replaced cracked serpentine belt and shortened heater hose.

 

 

Around end of  winter, heater hose was sprinkled and cut this area and connected back. It was bit tight/short, but works tiil now.

Better radiator

My CSF aluminum/plastic radiator have a small leak around 2 sides and ordered CSF All-Metal Radiator 2671.

Windshield wiper washer

 ordered a set of windshield wiper arm plastic washers and replaced them. removal and installation is bit tricky, but manageable.

instead of c-clamp, used a big pliers ;)

Rocker panel replacement

 Both driver and passenger side rocker panels are rusty and looks they are needs a replacement. Decided to make from 2x6 box steel.

Side steps are cut removed and tabs cleaned

Cut along line, outer sheet metal is gone, body is rusty but not too bad.

 

cleaned with wire wheel 

 

used Wurth rust converter 893110 in rusty areas

Measure, cut, weld, primer and paint box steel

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Test fit

Weld , stitch, stitch and stitch

grind them all

 

primer again and paint
