Rocker panel replacement

 Both driver and passenger side rocker panels are rusty and looks they are needs a replacement. Decided to make from 2x6 box steel.

Side steps are cut removed and tabs cleaned

Cut along line, outer sheet metal is gone, body is rusty but not too bad.

 

cleaned with wire wheel 

 

used Wurth rust converter 893110 in rusty areas

Measure, cut, weld, primer and paint box steel

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Test fit

Weld , stitch, stitch and stitch

grind them all

 

primer again and paint
